Very simple review of Coleman 2 ring burner camp stove 424. Takes unleaded fuel and Coleman fuel. Stove operates single or double rings. Full tank of fuel will last for 3 to 8 hours depending on whether 2 ring full power or single ring low flame. Weight 4kgs with full tank fuel.

  • thanks! i might just buy one of these im always having power cuts cause my brother keeps chewing the power cable!

  • @tribefenatic Handy to have in case grid goes down....cover the cable with hot chilli paste might help refrain chomping teeth.

  • Thanks for posting... i can't figure out the second burner "knob" though? reviews all say "Here's how to turn on the second burner." but does this "Knob" thingy control the flame too? i jst inherited a 424 stove, and the second burner ignites after about a half turn... but then waht? the knob will continue to turn another revolution or two? i dont get it? (sorry... new camper girl here and i don't wanna ask my BF!!)

  • @EchoChick2009 You're right - the 2nd burner knob is about a half turn give or take to open the flow of fuel to the 2nd ring & that's all that's needed. When 2 rings burning the 1st ring burner will always be slightly more stronger due to being nearer to the pressure of the fuel tank. Main control of both (2 stove rings) flame levels come from turning the knob in line with the fuel pipe feeding to the stove. Hope that helps :-)

    Cheers!

  • @SniperZed Thanks for the feedback. My review on the Coleman single burner is more indepth: fuel load, priming, pressure lever, ignition, safety principles etc etc whereby they would also apply to this one. Yeh I know what you mean about mini flame thrower :-))))

    All the best

  • Good review! Funnily enough its the standard stove used by the Canadian Forces on exercises etc. Had a lot of fun and not so fun experiences with it, especially not fun when it's not handled properly and either turns into a mini flamethrower (cozy in the wintertime :D) or just plain blows up, but like you say, take care of it and it will take care of you.

  • @richardhummell2497 Many thanks.

  • Well Done! Very informative. Didn't get to see much of the interior of the stove. Bit too dark. Very good everything considered. Looking forward to your next vid. Keep up the good work!
