For power, ease of setting up, parts availability, always go for the Webers! 20 years ago we did a lot of back to back testing with dellortos and webers and found that webers give slightly more top end power and dellortos gave slightly better bottom end torque and driveability at low revs.

webber 48's needed There basiclly 4 buckets with a cork's in Slide in a Kent cam "264" or simular Set of lightened weighed and balanced cosworth pistons and rods Lighten up the flywheel till you see the sparks fly at 8K All this on a rubber crank ... The power will come in at around 4 1/2 k and just keeps going till the electrical fault is diagnozed as a con-rod hrough the starting motor .... lol old Fords luv em or loath em they are still F .. irst O ,, n R .. I have a mkii 2000 with twin 40 Webers...Delortos here are very rare and I haven't raced a car fitted with those yet.But people keep saying that Delorto is better.Ok,I believe,but I haven't seen one closely....
