Nkauj Ntxoos 1st Place Singing Competition 2009-2010

Just to make things clear.... this was not HMONG IDOL... Hmong Idol is another whole program/group the sponsors the winner, same process like American Idol hosted by different people in different states each year or whatever like what Ms. Pagnia Xiong had won.

This is definitely the Hmong New Year in Saint Paul, MN but it doesn't say TRADITIONAL HMONG SINGING, it is just one of the category in the agenda as "MODERN SINGING COMPETITION" It's open to whatever song choice they choose.

Everyone needs to be a little more respectful to GaoSong whether she's off pitch or not. And if you want and need to, please let out your anger on the judges who are specifically singers in the Hmong Community such as Kace Vang, Stacey Lee, and some of the other judges I don't remember, but those two I know for sure were judges for this 2nd round. Let out your anger and question them instead of writing negative comments on here.

i think judges at hmong competition cant do their job at all. she has a good voice but this aint for. this song is too tough, she cant hit them notes very well n it sounds more like screaming than soothing. listen to lin yu chun, he sings it perfectly

I hate these kind of songs (voice), especially Mariah Carey's voice. I mean it's good, but very annoying when all songs are sung in that MEKAS DUS voice. To win, I hope she sang at least one Hmong song. I heard in Fresno, a black girl took first. Listening to her voice, it sounded like these peeps, but her pronunciation of the Hmong words were off. I dislike the contests/sports open to all if they are not part Hmong.
