  • wow where did you get this?

  • @PrinceOfSoulMusic This recording comes from a CD put out by the Eddie Kendricks Memorial Foundation called Eddie Kendricks - Live at the Club Kabana 1972. I got a copy back in 2003, but it seems like it's disappeared from the 'net entirely. There was a mini Tempts reunion at the show with Eddie calling Paul Williams and David Ruffin up to the stage, and the notes say it's probably the last live recording of Paul Williams. I'm so glad I sprung for it way back when.

  • @Iccotracs Hey since you have that cd with Paul Williams can you post it please

  • @Datkid7534 It'll be up in a min.

  • @Iccotracs He also song "I Stand Accused"

  • @N1RuffinFan Wow..I really wish that was on the CD! I would love to hear it!

  • Yes dave was the man no dought he is truly missed by me! Rest in peace my brother i loved u!

  • @1forlooker David's mother died when he was a baby. He was reared by a daddy and stepmother. I read that he left home at about 14. Traveled the road singing gospel. at that time gospel singers weren't making much money. The road can be very brutal. I've been acquainted with gospel singers and half of the time they couldn't make ends meet. And in David's era the 50's, this was the way it was. Now days they get better pay with contracts and such. I'm sure there were days he wished for mama.

  • @a1992aron where can i find those pics. I mwould rwally love to see them and add them to my temptation colage that I currently working on

  • David must have had a lot of pain. Drugs became more important than anything or anybody else. But listen to the raw talent that was at the same time polished like no other. Love you brother!
