Mr steven Clarke could play better pissed out of his mind than most of the guitarists nowadays with the exception of may be steve vai, slash and of course garry moore he was the best ever and it aint leppard without him i too saw them live in the eighties at wembley and left speachless as well as tone deaf brilliant.

The really, really sad part of Steve's end is that the guys had tried everything they knew to get him into rehab, but Steve wouldn't hear of it. He literally drank himself to death, caring only about booze & his giutar. He never understood his own genius, & in that way, he was so much like Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys; 2 wonderful talents--& good guys, who left us, far too soon. Wolfsky9

I'm fairly certain that Adrenalize was pretty much finished when Steve died. So he would have had some input into White Lightning, and Tonight. Day after Day and Paper Sun are good songs, but I wouldn't put them in the top 15 Def Leppard songs. I got a feeling that Steve had a LOT to do with the Def Leppard sound that made them popular. IMO his absence is glaring when looking at any new music they put out. It just isn't of the same quality as it was during the 80's and early 90's.
