A really gentle and sweet piece as performed by Wladimir Selinsky & His Salon Orchestra. Recorded by Columbia Records in the early 1940s

  • I think this was recorded for the movie "Penny Seranade" with Cary Grant in the 40's. Has to be up there with the most beautiful pieces ever written. This and "Clair De Lune" are my favorities. Evokes beautiful memories of times gone by..

  • Thanks, Nina!! I'll check it out.

  • Kenny Rankin did a beautiful vocal version on his 1980 album After the Roses. (This instrumental version is lovely too).

  • this song is so beautiful!

  • I notice a clip with Matt Damon on David Letterman gets 2 million hits while this sweet tune only gets a hundred or less. It should be the other way around...

  • Exquisite piece, beautifully done. Anyone know where I can find a good vocal?
