we hmong do some ritual so identical to mien's ritual,this is like soul calling and blessing the good luck of a person,family and even pray for good luck for the farm to gain more crop in year to come.we call hu plig(spiritual calling)

@Mi3nboitorne we usually do this soul calling ritual on first newyear day and night(txi xwm kab),bring new luck in,blessing the good luck,weath,crop and family's well health in the year to come.during this ritual nite we don't toss thing away, we sweep the mess,clean garbage then pile up in the corner or put in dustpan but keep in the house til the next day then we can throw a way.if you toss them away just like you throw the good fortune away. we hmong have many sub religions I still don't know

yeah thats kinda like how we celebrate new years. as for soul calling thats just whenever we feel we need to conduct it. we aren't suppose to wash anything or sweep/clean fearing the washing away of the new years luck. this would be, like you said just one of the many many different rituals there are. im actually just interested in how the structure of the whole process of the rituals work. such as what is exactly said or done in each process. e.g. the offering of money
