Dead body on Mount Everest. The body has turned to leather under the harsh sun and dry dessicated conditions. This clip is shown with due respects to the mountaineer, out of a personal desire to see something done about this terrible personal and ongoing human tragedy where dead mountaineers are not brought down from the peak, due to the many limitations. A body is so heavy that a single porter cannot possibly lift and bring it down, so most dead bodies are consigned to a deep crevasse and given what is called a 'glacial burial'.

Since a human body is too heavy to carry back to Base Camp, bodies are either abandoned in the open or given a glacial burial by being released into a crevasse, in a sleeping bag or sack.

Located in the Himalayas Mount Everest is the world's highest mountain above sea level at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft). At the higher regions of Mount Everest, climbers seeking the summit typically spend substantial time within the "death zone" (altitudes higher than 8,000 m/26,246 ft), and face significant challenges to survival. Temperatures can dip to very low levels, resulting in frostbite of any body part exposed to the air. Since temperatures are so low, snow is well-frozen in certain areas and death or injury by slipping and falling can occur.

  • @1overthehillsfaraway what book should I be reading? I think it's fake

  • YAY!

  • Amazing what people argue over.

  • @DominicMetal1979 Ha! I've just been struck by a hilarious thought! It seems that you have "skipped over important words" in your haste to criticise me personally without knowing anything about me. Funny old world eh?

  • @DominicMetal1979 I agree with you that people should not take it upon themselves to bury people without consulting with the relatives. However I was merely pointing out that most everest climbers do not have the time or the oxygen to spend hours burying every corpse they find on their way to the summit. And that it is actually specialist teams who are asked by the relatives of the deceased to bury them on the mountain.

  • @oddba11 Like a typical dishonest person, you skip over important words ("not related to") and misrepresent my point. In fact, your actual motivation is that you yourself are just like those undisciplined people who would take it upon themselves to drop a body into a crevasse -- partly for your own sick fun, and partly to make yourself feel important. You're just like them, and that's why you defend them, even though you pretend you're talking about legitimate people doing it.

  • i like the red light sabber ya got there

  • @420steezy420 hahaha you are clueless

  • @RFILEL stupid
