I had this played at my wedding - wonderful tunes both of them. I did used to play Brose and Butter on the smallpipes but have fallen well behind with all thatsince my daughter was born... :-)
@KkCello, the only reason you cannot play the violin/fiddle is because you haven't tried and kept at it. About all it takes, there is no hidden requirement that prevents you.
I'm so glad to find this song from St. Kilda here. St. Kilda is considered the last outpost of civilization in the Outer Hebrides. Of course, Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas play it beautifully
Does anyone have the sheet music for these tunes?

St. Kilda is no longer the "last outpost of civilization." Today it is inhabited only by sea birds and wild sheep. Absolutely lovely tune.

I am presently learning this tune. Just when I think I have it down packed, I come here and listen to Aladsdair and go into depression. LOL

@plbt101 Can't help it, have to listen to them 10 times a day, tapping my feet to their reel helps me feeling vivid :-)

@KkCello I wished I could play the violin/fiddle part myself, Alasdair Fraser's playing is just magnificent
