Mehhhh. Idk about this video worked on it off and on for a while now and still don't think its right lol.


First off RIP Hickstead, you will always be remembered. Hickstead and Eric were my jumping idols, they were so inspirational and made me feel that there was hope for us little people with crazy horses who want to eventually jump the big tracks. He will be greatly missed, truly one of the best horses of all time.

Anywho, updates. . .

Red waddles beast has been a wee bit naughty, he's feeling frisky in the cold weather and enjoyed taking off and bucking on a very steep hill, it was rather special. I have been jumping him as well just haven't gotten any proper clips of it. Please no crit, he's not an easy ride though he may look very cute and fluffy. His random naughtiness is why I have yet to take him out. One day! haha but he is improving, he's jumping around 2'6'' consistently now with some 3' added. And picking up his right lead like a beast =]

Tex is doing well my little sister has been riding him and they've actually cantered a bit, so they are doing a fab job together and I am very pleased.

Empy. . . is a FREAKING psycho. I've been very sick plus the weather has been disgusting so everyone had a week off and my little beastie was very disturbed and was convinced I was about to die. She started stealing my shoes again, the little shoe thief! Apparently she decided upon my death she would steal all of my belongings and hide them in her stall. . .
She has been sooo hyper and has been an interesting ride trying to bolt around and jump out of arenas, my lovely little spazz. There is a reason her nickname is baby hickstead =] She had enough of dressage and today spent half an hour trying to open the gate and escape into the horse trailer, when I went to fetch her she ran over, stuck her nose in the halter and dragged me to the trailer. Very eager. Then upon arriving she immediately went over my little half x before anything else, and after our session would go over and nuzzle the standards until we dragged her away. OBSESSED MUCH?! Anyway enjoy, jumps go up to 3'6'' I think?? Idk we were 2 holes from the wings, so whatever that was. My riding was crap, ugh, so not my month riding wise haha. And she's obv. insane and very hard to handle so NO CRIT please. Her first time doing jumps off of turns and consecutively at the canter, very happy, we are slowly improving. She's slow to mature but I think in a few years may turn out to be something ;D
ALSO FOUND SCHOOLING SHOWS IN 2 MONTHS! YAY! So now I don't have to wait half a year before going to a show, very excited! Plus if all goes well a world show, I know I keep jawing on about it but it will seriously be the highlight of my year if we make it =]]

I love how you give with your hands over the jumps, it's nice to see riders not yanking on their horses mouths when they jump.

@empy5 Yeah, he certainly is a big boy!!! Very true...the only issues he has are grump issues, and that doesn't affect jumping (I hope!) :0 I never really thought of it that way! Haha, thanks! I just want to make sure that he is up to it, because Ponyboy ,who I used to ride, coliced at least twice a year and had other problems I think involved with his stomach...so I guess I am so used to being paranoid that I can't help myself from being paranoid about Zander, too! LOL
