This game was called by Tom Hammond (still there at NBC) and Dave Casper from Week 2 (9/20/87) as the last pre-strike week.
Was the helmet picture at 2:17 part of the intro for only the 1987 season? I've seen some NBC intros from 1986 and 1988 with the team names scrolling over the video.

@Market42Fan IIRC, I believe it was a gimmick and that they used the Team Logos for most games...
