i borrowed a female from a friend today, and know he seems to be interested on the female i had paired him with on the first place, i have them in separate cages, and he keeps calling her and vise verso, so I ma try and give the pair privacy and move the cage elsewhere, thank you thou ill keep you posted or make a vid...
hi i have two cockatiels that ive been trying to breed for about 3 month's now and haven't been successful, the male calls the female but she doesn't respond, ive provided a nest box with shredded paper a cuttle bone and mineral block, i see you have a few cockatiels and breed em successfully, any tips you might give me, to see if that will work for the male to successfully mate with the female, really nice vids you make of your pets, u should make one on how to set up breeding cage plz

Well you're doing everything right. It's just the cockatiels sometimes don't bond, and it's actually up to the female to bond with a male or not, because all male birds bond with ANY female they see. If the female isn't returning the favor then they will never bond, you either need a new male, or new female. It's a time process, but once you get you're first clutch of eggs, it'll be easier from then on, patience is the key, the longer the wait= better the outcome.
