@TheDjacdk i agree with you about condemning it but i do believe if they think there's the need to make a law about female circumcision at birth, there should be a law for males as well because although it effects males differently, it shouldnt be done without the the childs consent (which he legally cant decide until he comes of age)

since i got circumcised i have to deal with less sensitivity and countless irritation to the head of the penis,im forced to take precautions to stop it

@jayc342009 It never fail's to amuse me, that some people must jump to insults and irrational behaviour, just because other's have a different view.

I am not defending anything, I am simply saying that you can't compare FGM to MGM. They are entirely different things, done for entirely different reasons, and should not be seen as one. Circumcision should not be done lightly, but it is NOT harmful, I should know.

@TheDjacdk I understand your point of view, and I agree it's not as bad as it seems if you choose to get it done.

If people want to get it done that's their choice. Circumcision today though, is mostly done when they are babies, which is an entirely different story.

@hceely I agree that it's the individual's choice, I'm in no way advocating the circumcision of babies, I'm simply trying to communicate that it is NOT the terrible thing that these girls make it out to be. There's no doubt it reduces sensitivity, but I see that as a positive thing. It all depends on the individual's point of view, I'm simply trying to communicate my point of view. I don't think its fair to simply condemn it, without considering all sides.

I also think that male circumcision was originally done to curve masturbation/suppress sexual desire, for religious or cultural reasons.

I'm not saying that you can't feel anything down there, but it does greatly reduce sensitivity with the loss of 10,000+ nerve endings and the head of the penis exposed.
