Hispanics came here as conquerors? No, Spanish came here as thieves and murderers. Spanish = European = white. Hispanic is not a race and if it had to be considered one, I think most would fall into the category of Native American ie the conquered and exterminated. And I don't mean to insult NA but by using his logic, Blacks are above them since they endured centuries of mistreatment and yet are still here.

I know many hispanics who are in my same vote. Has nothing to do with us thinking we are better than ANY color.

@rich1760 Actually Im a black woman and I absolutely love Bill Richards and would have voted for him in a heartbeat had he won the nomination. I think he relates to the immigrant, to the poor person and to everyone else. He seems like a real good man so your statement blacks would never vote for a hispanic is FALSE. Blacks in LA just voted for a Korean over a black and in Memphis TN blacks voted for a white over a black. It has happened before.

@rich1760 Im not sure what "taino's" is but I have slave blood. I am not ashamed of it. The vast majority of blacks that are in America and the islands are the descendants of slaves. We are ALSO the descendants of WARRIORS who have fought this racist system and brought about justice. The Civil Rights Movement was not a Passive Movement. Many of my ancestors gave their lives fighting. Plus the blacks that survived the slave trade were the strongest of them ALL!

@bebaylamas07 Maybe blacks bring up racism because we have caught so much of it in this country. I mean, damn, havent you seen the civil rights marches when black churches were bombed and dogs were siced on blacks and they were sprayed with water hoses. Racism still very much exists and don't think because you are hispanic you wont get it. I worked for a time at Walmart in TX and you wouldn't believe the things white customers would say to me about hispanics and even blacks.

How many of the latino spanish groups were prominent when it mattered??none...it was us blacks and native americans who fought hard for the freedoms alot of foreigners enjoy..And Debaca was right about one thing....Alot...not ALL spanish/latinos think they"re better than us...its ok though...As long as that race of people count my brother HOWARD JORDAN amongst them...they"re gonna be ok.....BTW...the spainards were white...EUROPEANS...Where are the CONQUERED mexicans getting pride from???
