Robert (Bar-One) Barone . Although Robert strove for complete uniqueness in his sculpting, many believe they see the influences of Henry Moore, Hans Jean Arp and others.

Robert Barone was a reclusive artist. One point of view (that he did not mind sharing) was that there was "enough art in Sonoma County" California. He would explain to people that he "loved the creative process but disliked selling his pieces". He called his statues his friends. He did not like parting with them. His house was packed with over 200 completed fine art wood sculptures at the time of his passing. In his very prolific career he easily created more than seven to eight hundred works. On occasion he would take breaks from his "serious" works and "fool around" artistically with more of whimsical outlook. Robert loved puns and other forms of word play. He titled his pieces with very witty and often humorous titles.
