English 1915 SMLE. Just a demonstration of how fast the amazing Enfield bolt can be worked. If I had a target up I could have tried for half a mad minute but instead I just felt like having blind fun. Doubt I could hit a target at 300 yards anyways lol (NOT because of the rifle) There was a little bit of difficult. A failure to feed once, then the trigger wouldn't go off on the very last round. I'll show the accuracy of this old gem some time later. By the way this video was taken the same day as my P38 and SKS shooting vids.

I'd say more shooting videos will be coming up soon. I need to track down some more 7.62x54r so I can show off the SVT40, Mosin Nagant M91/30 sniper, and M44 Carbine. I brought the SVT to the last visit but I only shot one round at a time because I was sighting it in. Would have been boring to watch even if I remembered my camera lol I'll definitely have more footage of the P38 since 9mm is common. I was actually surprised at it's accuracy on my last visit (For an inexperienced lad such as myself anyways) If only I had more than one mag.

Back on topic: You can partially see now the speed possible for a Lee Enfield rifle. Imagine a trained soldier shooting! The Mad minute is shooting at least 15 aimed shots with a bolt action at 300 yards. Most soldiers can manage 25. Some could get 40 aimed shots in that one minute. Now imagine a dozen of these trained soldiers performing the mad minute at once! You've got at least 300 RPM there, keep in mind they're all well aimed shots, too.

P.S. I probably missed the gong. When the camera woman looked out to the range it was the white thing to the left on the ground. I'll probably have an annotation put up to point it out.

P.P.S. I half feel like labeling this video as Educational with all the history stuff I put in the Description box lol

  • WOW!

  • @TheHandgunhero I see. Makes sense now, he never actually releases the bolt. That is a quick system. I like it.

  • @1lovesoni He holds onto it the whole time, his right hand never touches the stock. He then quickly pulls the trigger with his finger without letting go of the bolt.

  • Damn thats quick. How are you able to fire and get to the bolt so fast.

  • What's a faster method to load? Multiple stripper clips in a single 10 round magazine or multiple preloaded 10 round magazines and removing and adding whole magazines through the bottom?

  • @lubi125 Too true. As much as I love the personal freedoms of the US, I realize that they can be a double edged sword.

As an American, I'm inclined to like American weapons more, but don't get me wrong. I love the SMLE. It's a great battle rifle that did its job, and that's putting a ton of accurate fire.

  • @shdowhunt60 I guess spending more time with these "people" can't be too beneficiary, although its quite entertaining to scold them

  • @lubi125 Don't let an outspoken asshole cloud your judgement of the better of us.

  • ,From Canada, good shooting, enjoy your SMLE, looks like good condition

  • @temple400 Why? Don't tell me your another of these uneducated stupid Americans that bash on Canada! Although I wouldn't mind too much educating another one.
