As a 69 Charger owner another thing I tell the little WRX kids is, why don't we pull out your little go cart engine and drop it in my 18 ft long Charger, and then we'll put my 700lb big block in your go cart, after we make the suspension solid to help hold it, and then we'll compare 1/4 mile times? :)

Again. I own and love 69 Chargers. I didn't know what the Charger had? My point was don't knock Mustangs because in stock form those high output cars of today would make a stock 375hp Charger of 40 years ago look like it stalled in a race. And so it should after a 40 year lead on technology.
When little kids in a Subaru WRX talk of beating my restored to stock Charger. I say, go get a 40 year old Subaru and come back and then I'll race you.

I own a 69 Charger so I go with the Charger but to be fair the Mustang would destroy the Charger. The Mustang probably had traction control trying to stop it from spinning. Just saying a 525hp Mustang with a hp rating from the rear wheels will beat a heavier 375hp Charger measured hp off the crank.

@chargerman100 Right and Wrong. The Mustang DID have the Traction Control on, As Far as the Dodge Charger, It has 575hp at the Fly, not 500hp like the announcer stated, which translates roughly to @ 510hp at the wheels. Runs 10.8's and would trash ths Stang. which runs 11.9's. Just Saying
