This is our Raytech TV-5 Vibratory Rock Tumbler. I have it tumbling some small agate slabs I cut using a tile saw along with some mixed rock pieces. Since I didn't have 4 pounds, used some ceramic media. I didn't think the thin agate slabs would do very well in a barrel tumbler.
I shot this video clip with the lid off the unit to better see the tumbling action. It's kind of hypnotic to watch the cyclonic action, how the rocks come up from the outside, and then go back down on the inside.
You can see our Thumler A-R6 and a vintage Lortone tumbler going in the background.
