My one take recording singing "Bring Him Home", which is perhaps one of my all-time favorite Broadway / opera songs.

If you're a fan of his, you'll no-doubt recognize Colm Wilkinson as a substantial influence to my singing (across all genres, in fact).

Sorry for having my eyes closed for this one. It's a sub-conscious thing, and with the "one take" nature of my channel, I did not want to go back and do it over.

Hope you enjoy!

  • Quite a lot of serious vocal enhancement from the 'toys'....You (like me) hit the word 'peace' too early...I make that mistake every time! Please feel free to comment (critically) on my version...Tim Kent. Overall I enjoyed yours a lot

  • reverb much?

  • very good :)

  • thanks to bring song home..

  • id like to here more of you singing without the toys around you just you and a cam ? not that im saying its bad cuz its not i just like to here normal sounds not sumthing comeing out of a lot of stuff to make it sound better like you can see allaround you :)

  • Love it... but as others have said, try and work on your vowel sounds.. sounds like you're singing "Brung" rather than "Bring" and "give" comes out as almost "guve" :)

  • Great job! Just remember to think about the vowels you are singing!

  • omg this is brilliant!! but constructive criticism: think about what your really singing about and also listen to your vowel sounds and try to darken them!!! :)

  • Thanks for drowning yourself in reverb dude, real professional :/

  • I understudied Valjean in the national tour of Les Mis and besides other cast-mates, this is one of the better versions I have heard in a while. One comment, work on your breath-support to sustain those longer notes with a stronger, crisper vibrato. Also, on the line "If I die, let me die," it's a moment of desperation, so belt it a little more strongly than the rest, you may need to tone down the rest. But, otherwise you did great! Breath, crisp Vibrato, and ur awesome :) congrats :)
