The New Scania R-series - Truck of the Year 2010

With the new R-series, Scania has delivered a state-of-the-art truck that sets new standards in terms of fuel economy, driveability and overall efficiency, said jury chairman Gianenrico Griffini when he presented the International Truck of the Year 2010 award to Scania in a ceremony at the companys research and development centre in Södertälje, Sweden. http://www.scania.com/truckoftheyear

The International Truck of the Year award is given each year to the truck model that has made the strongest contribution towards making road transport more efficient. The award, which was established in 1977, is the most prestigious accolade in the trucking world. The jury consists of leading commercial vehicle journalists from 22 European countries.
