Wow, fantastic!

@1983parrothead Yeah, I also found out that Scarab had a few former UPL employees.
OK. Will do.

@MysticArksRevenge Sometime later after I posted this comment, I noticed that Game Developer Research Institute (GDRI) said it's actually spelled "Scarab", not "Sekirabe". Look up their list of works on GDRI. They also developed Battle Monsters for Naxat Soft.

@merlin196 I agree. This game deserved to be on the SNES as well as the Sega Genesis, then if it was popular enough, Roger and Wolf could've been the mascots of both American Sammy and Sammy Corporation.
-
@1983parrothead So Sekirabe developed this game? Damn, I thought Sammy themselves did it.
-
@VikutaaChyaaruzu It makes me so angry that Seta, Sammy and Visco did not utilize the full potential of the SSV hardware. They COULD've made more fighting games as well as more games like Dyna Gear.
In fact, I wish that Sammy ported this game to the SNES as well as the Genesis, and make Roger and Wolf mascots of Sammy Corporation.

it is like ghouls and ghosts had sex with Altered beast and made this game

SSV hardware, made by Seta, Sammy, and Visco. (Seta used it for a few titles of their "Super Real Mahjong" strip mahjong video game series, which were all never released outside of Japan because -- get this -- the majority of the girls whom the player faces off against and whom strip nearly naked for the player when they lose are under 18 years of age, and the Western market doesn't want to condone child pornography).

So it's about a space cop who is a knight who fights dinosaurs.
Sounds like a good time.
This was developed by Sekarabe, a company founded by UPL staff. UPL is best known for Atomic Robo-Kid and its Ninja-kun series (which spawned Jaleco's JaJaMaru-kun series).
Some of the characters from Sammy's Survival Arts (also developed by Sekarabe) also appeared in Dyna Gear.

... is it me or did the coins they were picking up have the Mortal Kombat logo on them?
One way or the other a really over the top side scroller. Keeps you busy smashing buttons and cramming quarters.

Good eye. It does look like Mortal Kombat logo. Very brief and easy to miss.
