  • Thanks superbrad !

  • Fabulous song, but it was written by the team of Maurice Sigler, Al Goodhart (love the name) and Al Hoffman and was a big hit covered by many bands in the mid 1930s.

  • You're quite right - since discovered that Freddy only wrote the lyrics. Your guys wrote the music. Or so I believe. :-)

  • Just picked up this sheet musick today. Love your version, though Martin only covered the tune, didn't write the words. you really put some feeling in this. i was unfamiliar with it before today. Django and Grapelli also covered it.

  • This sounds just fantastic! Great job!

  • This is a great song! Published in 1933 by composers, Maurice Sigler, Al Goodhart and Al Hoffman. The first known performance was by Francis Langford in 1934. Later, Freddy Martin and several other stars performed this piece.

  • Fantastic tune and performance. Thank you so much for the tutorial! Love the the singing as well, this is my favourite version of this song.

  • Splendid!

  • I think Freddie only covered it as his name does not appear on the credits on the sheet music. Maurice Sigler probably wrote the words, altho I think it was more of a joint effort between Sigler , Goodhart and Hoffman. It certainly doesn't diminish the quality of the tune, or the enjoyment of your video.
