Tammy Reynolds I understand the drunk driving concerns you have as a family member. The answer is not to violate everyone's rights though.
It would be like me saying no Tammy, no more doughnut's, you are obese. That is a serious health problem and as a tax contributor to the health care system I don't think it is everyone's best interest if you eat more doughnut's. Then I give you a special tag that lets you only buy healthy food.
I am taking away your right to lead an unhealthy lifestyle.

RIDE programs were found questionable here too, but if you do your research you will now find that they have their locations posted in advance. Do your homework, and you don't pass through one.

They'll forget to tell you that a Thunder Bay police chief was convicted of impaired driving about 20 years ago. And of course it was the OPP that caught him-if it had been the Thunder Bay police that had stopped him he would have been allowed to just continue on.

Cops are so stupid, I smoked a joint and later got stopped by a ride check just outside Toronto and the stupid cops didn`t even notice a thing, he even flashed a light in my eyes while talking to me.

Especially Canadian cops!!! About 20 years ago, several law enforcement agencies in Michigan did RIDE checks like the one in this video and the State Supreme court declared RIDE Programs in Michigan illegal and unconstitutional. There have been no drunk driving check points or RIDE programs in Michigan since 1987.
