Oscar fish strange behavior

My oscars behave strange. They are laying on the ground and shake their fins. Does anyone have explanation for this.

Thank you all for visiting this video, and tying to help. Once again I want to explain what happened with my pets. They had a plenty of space(300l Tank) and the water was perfect. (30% of water change every week) The only mistake I made is that I gave them too much beef hart. It was too much for them to digest so they suffered from digesting disorder . After a few days they were fine and they are the big fishes now. This video is posted on Mar 24, 2008 :)

my oscar fish is in a 20 gal untill he gets about 7in he will lay at the bottom pretty much all day the only time he comes up is when someone walks in the room.also when i turn the lite on he is black and orange when i feed him hikari floatng cichlid gold he turns white and orange whe hes lying a round hes black,white,and orange.whats going on i dont want him to die iv raised him from 2in to about 4 or 5. please reply.i wouldnt have typed this much if i didnt care

I have 5 oscers and when they lay on the groung consistintly then that means that your oscar is looking up because they cant look up so they lay down and theire fins shake cuz they are scared of their surroundings.

i think someone has eaten too much! lol mine is a piggy too, he will eat and eat and eat, feel sick loose his colouring, lay around for a while, then a day later he is all cool.

The easiest way to tell if your Oscar is happy,is if he top fin is up.My oscar is goofy at times,he will stay in one spot floating for a few minutes,with his top fin standing up.The only time he goes onto the gravel is when I am doing 10% or 15% water change once a week.or when the lights are turned off.Yes they are lazy some what,but its based on personality.Also what size gallon tank do you have honestly?

@marlonips dude keep the temp of quarium between 26 -28 c and feed them food that contain protein like blood worms. or go to oscarfishcaring(.)blogspot(.)c­om
