Actually, it IS his voice! In his Broadway.com interview, he said his friend stopped him on the street and said, "Great job on the commercial! Who cares that they didn't use your real singing voice? It's great!" And Christian said he was about to correct him but decided to let it go.

Yes, that IS Christian's voice in the commercial. He has an unmistakable and unique sound - it is definitely Christian. I saw that interview you mentioned. He ran into an old castmate from an early West Side Story tour who congratulated him on the ebay commercial, said it was great in spite of them not using his real voice. And Christian said, "but...but....that WAS my....oh forget it!!" It was so funny the way he said it in the interview. But that is definitely him!
