From a guitarist's standpoint, I have two "telestrats" like Ian's (strat body/tele neck) & I gotta say, once you get thru the initial setting up, they play like the best of both worlds... Thanks to Ian for turning me on to this idea!

Ian played this last night in OKC. It was a great show with the original Band and they played tunes from the first two records. The crowd went nuts, and it proves that the people are begging him to return to the blues. That is where his true talents lie. He did say they are going to release the previously unreleased 3rd record, but no date was given.

I've been rooting for Ian for a decade now.
And for the most part, I don't like what he's been doing. He got Texas blues early on, probably in his mother's milk.
The sad thing is that even Trent Reznor makes more authentic soul music than Ian does. Ian's real genius is old British invasion stuff. I wish he'd give himself permission to quit imitating his heroes and start pursuing what he really does well.
