Michigan .. same problem is just across the Detroit River in Canada. Employment loss is making these job ads very easy to fall for. I applied for a mystery shopper ad (was suspicious but my job coach at APPD pushed me to do it) and then I get a money order for $1500 and am told to send most of that money to the UK to "evaluate how well they do their job" from a company called Regent Research.

Hey, can I ask a really dumb question? Who is falling for that lol? If someone sends me a check but wants some of it back then that tells me that the check isn't any good. How do you send me money and then ask for some back. I wouldn't have to call anyone but I probably would take it over to someone's house so we can laugh together lol.

this is why I am a mystery shopper because we check places like this. A lot of these people use real companies to make them look legit, anytime money is transferred like this it is a scam no question.
