This ukulele does not belong to me, but it is definitely one of my favourites. If you have attended any of this year's European festivals, you may have already tried out this instrument for yourselves. It is the one that I usually play at these events. If I putting on a display/workshop at your club meeting this Autumn, you will get chance to play it then.

As I mentioned on the video, this ukulele is amazingly loud, so I have upped the volume of my speaking to compensate.

Again, apologies for the gruff voice. I'm still fighting off a virus that is prodding at me.

  • A great review Ken!

  • @BillEvans1956 Thanks Bill.

  • Ken...this uke was my first serious uke after two Kala travel ukes.

I put a Fishman uke pickup in it, and use the Fishman pro preamp....sounds great! My tuners are different though...kind of an orange color...really cool

  • @bigjimallen The orange tuners are great, Jim. I put them on my TK-35CG, where they look even better.

  • A masterful review. Thank you Ken.

  • @cepinobel Thank you.

  • Ken, This is a great review. After seeing your review, I ordered the TK75-CG and am not disappointed at all. I specifically wanted a second instrument that was a cut-away tenor and that I could use with a low-G tuning. What I like is that the tonal quality and sound are totally different from my Big Island Koa. I really enjoy having two instruments that are distinctly different to work with. I'm using it for fingerstyle and absolutely love how clear and distinct the notes are.

  • yeah, my uke came with them from the factory....gold parts with orange buttons.

  • Thanks for this, Ken, been umm-ing and arr-ing over this uke for some time.

Can I just ask though, I had an Ohana uke before with a spruce top and the bugger split after a few months; I'm guessing it was down to humidity as it was just sat on my stand, and it was no major problem, but I'm just wondering if, in your experience, spruce is a more delicate wood? I'm pretty sure it's a one-off thing, but just a teenie-bit worried before splashing out on this.

  • Thanks for watching.
