@Maple1Pirate Dark Souls removed Soul Tendency which was what made Demon's Souls so especially hard. What Soul Tendency does is the more you die, the stronger and more numerous the enemies get. And if you die enough to get Pure Black Soul Tendency the levels get filled with black phantoms, which in my opinion, black phantoms are the Dark Souls equivalent of black knights (only they're harder to back stab.)

Best advice for playing demons souls
1. If it moves it moves it will kill you
2. If it glows it will kill you
3. BLOCK!
4. If it looks like it's easy and you wont have a problem with it IT WILL KILL YOU!
5. BLOCK!
And finally always play close to a wall so you don't have to get up to bang your head against it in frustration.
