@moonshadowcastle Jesus said that He is the Savior. Nothing you can do can save you. Don't be deceived. ~John 3:16. Repent from any sinful lifestyle and adhere to the law of Christ: love one another as He has loved us. ~John 13:34. Then you will have eternal life through Christ. Nothing else will save you from yourself. The world is deceived. Satan rules the spiritual lives of many. Only in Jesus Christ is there salvation of the soul from hellfire. ~John 14:6 God bless.

@moonshadowcastle Right, and we're gonna believe in you, huh? Sounds to me like you're the one who's puzzled in thinking. If you're verses in Scripture you know that certain things are literal and others are figurative. The Holy Bible is replete with all sorts of language expression: prose, poems, parables, symbolism, metaphors, etc. One has to be wise and know how to discern what is read. I suggest you don't continue in your way of thinking and study Scripture with the aid of God's Holy Spirit.

@skydiver626 Well stated! Pre-tribe Christians tend to get all caught up with the symbolisms of Revelation, rather than focus on the plain text of Matthew chapter 24, 1 Corinthians 15:20-58, 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 & 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-12, & more. The Rapture & Second Coming are NOT two separate events! Pre-tribe isn't biblically sound doctrine. Christ will return on the Last Day... the Lord's Day. He will comes for His church with His powerful holy angels & shall destroy the wicked.

@krononomikon whoops! by "faithful", I meant in quotes "believing", like a so-called faithful person - not an actual faithful person, because they wouldn't abandon God! :D
-
@Nashhinton I understand it as being symbolic of her "harlotries" that she did with the nations. It takes a faithful (like the church, or believers, such as Israel) to commit harlotry, because they cheat on God with the nations. These types of things, as I understand it, were also told to be the same as in the earlier scriptures. I hope that it helps.

@krononomikon, The items of trade found in Revelation 18 only apply to ROME. They even apply today. Look at the trade industry of Rome on Google. Japan doesnt have a large amount of ivory exports. Let's face it, the Catholic Church is a pagan church. In Revelation 18, it talks about how the city deceived the nations with it's sorceries and false rituals. A woman in Revelation always represents a religious group. Rome sits on seven hills.

@krononomikon ...Revelation 22:10, "And he said to me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand."
An example of symbolism that can be misunderstood is for instance where, in Rev. 8:8 it says something like a mountain all ablaze was thrown into the sea. People may think "a meteorite!", but it is a reference to destruction in Babylon in Jeremiah 51, especially verses 25 + 26.
-
@Nashhinton You've got to see it Biblically... This should have been able to be determined by those contemporary to the time, the symbols. Why? Because it was the Revelation of Jesus Christ, not the mystery of Jesus Christ, right? It even references Daniel, and claims to be what Daniel was not allowed to talk about:
Daniel 12:4, "But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
Then, ahead...

@Nashhinton It's a reference to Ezekiel 27, where there is a literal prophecy against Tyre, but figuratively against "mystery Babylon". He says of Tyre, in Ezekiel 27:25 onward, especially 29 and 30, what you had mentioned. Tyre was situated offshore, but if we're to take Babylon as literally by the sea, then Babylon also has to be a world trade center. Since USA is #1 in trade and Japan is #2 from what I understand, Babylon would be closer to Japan than Rome!
Awesome truth, That is exactly what I believe. Revelation ch 19 through 22 is written in chronological order in the sequence the events occur. Starting with the church in heaven at the marriage supper then the battle of armageddon and satan is bound then the 1000 year reign, the "first ressurection" needs to be explained, it not the first as 1,2,3, but in the greek the word first is a contracted superlative that means the best of all the former. Look it up in the greek! God bless,

@zzzodc This isn't entirely what I get from the passage. The voices in heaven are simply saints who have previously died - not the church. The marriage (rapture) occurs at the second coming of Christ who is on his way to Armageddon. The church doesn't actually go to the third heaven at the rapture. She will be caught up to meet the Lord as He goes to Jerusalem to slaughter Satan's armies.Heaven will then be on earth throughout the millennial reigna although there will probably access to the 3rd.

Actually. any reference to a "rapture" is weak, biblically speaking. The second coming and so-called rapture is a single event. If you think GOD is going to protect you from the lions, in the Roman arenas, you would be wrong. If you think GOD is going to protect you from the coming test of faith...you would be wrong.

I agree. I am not a proponent of the word "rapture" whatsoever. I believe it has become a trigger word that has many brainwashed into believing a pre-trib escape. Biblically it's more suited as being labeled a gathering. That's what Paul called it.
