Silk Road Tour 5 - Lanzhou - Abigail Washburn & The Village

Lanzhou is known across China for it's hand-pulled beef noodles or niu rou la main 牛肉拉面. And we were treated to several feasts of beef noodles in Lanzhou. We also had a great session with some music students at one of the local universities in Lanzhou. Performing for and with students was one of the funnest parts of the tour. Students in these cities brought unbelievable amounts of enthusiasm to the shows.

Surprisingly, when we arrived, after performing on some classical Chinese instruments, the choir came out and performed "Amazing Grace". So in turn we taught them another old spiritual song, "Keys to the Kingdom".
