My First Belt Test- 11/21-22/09- Testing for my yellow belt!
~The belt test consists of three parts. The first part is Kata. Kata is a series of choreographed moves which helps the student understand the forms of various moves.
The second is Kumite, aka sparring. Kumite is when you can execute the moves that you have been learning, on an opponent. During my fight we used the point system. Whoever gives the first clean hit gets the point. Each match goes up to 5 points.
The last part of my belt test was the wood breaking. It takes lots of internal and kinetic energy and focus to break the boards.
This was my second time sparring and my first time breaking wood. I plan to keep it going.
In my school the style is Shotokan and the belt order is: White, yellow, green, purple, brown, and black.
Me gusto tu examen, y me gustan el buen ambiente de tus amigos

You have a nice roundhouse kick, forms are crisp, your combos are on point and your parents have done great to inspire and support you & need to be proud. GO GET EM, SISTA!!!
