This is for my sister who wants to learn how to knit a scarf on a loom. This is the pattern I used for our brother's scarf and your son's scarf.
Sorry about the low quality of sound and jerkiness of the camera, it's hard to hold a camera on one's chest while knitting. ;P

  • @katsrayoflight

I am so glad I can be of help. I hope to upload more videos of more recent projects soon.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! I have been staring at the instructions for a few days and it just wasn't clicking watching you do it makes much more sense :-)

  • @Synful74

I am glad you found this helpful. When I first bought my loom set, I stared at the instructions for a while, too. Happy knitting!

  • How long does it take you to make an average sized scarf with 2 strands of yarn? Thanks :)

  • @23bianca97

Give yourself a 4 or 5 hours. I can not tell you an exact time for 2 reasons.

    1) It depends on how wide you make it.

    2) I haven't made one of these scarves in a LONG time so I don't remember.

Keep in mind that scarves stretch with wear. You can expect a 25% increase in length after stretching. For example, if you knit a 4 foot long scarf, it will end up being 5 feet after stretching. This also means that the width will decrease, so knit it wider than you think you want it.
