He was so sweet, beautiful, vulnerable and demure....those lovely large eyes show so much fear, wariness and nervousness. Those are the eyes of someone who has been terribly hurt and betrayed. His vulnerability and wariness shows in everything.

Quite a contrast with the sensual,seductive and bold creature he became when he performed! It is very true he was only ever truly comfortable onstage or performing.He said offstage he was sometimes afraid of people, and it's obvious.
