Renewable Rider Tom Weis listens to Oglala Lakota matriarch Regina Brave explain their treaty (Ft. Laramie Treaty of 1868) stand against Keystone XL. Regina warns that contaminating the Ogallala Aquifer will destroy the future of our children and grandchildren. Calling this "a time to show unity as Americans against this pipeline," she says, "Money can pass through your hands like water, but the land is forever."
Canadian First Nations are in dire straights due to the Alberta Tar Sands. Alberta often sells waivers of law to corporations. We must all demand our public servants serve the people not the corporations. Clean energy works. The Keystone XL and the Northern Gateway pipe dream would destroy existing industry. Enbridge has had 800+ oil spills. 4000 lbs of boreal forest are "moved" for 1 barrel of oil. 360 000 barrels every day for US war. This is tyranny. Our First Nations is our country. HELP!

The First People lived here for thousands of years and lived in peace and respect with the land. The colonist have ruined it in just a few hundred years. If the US Gov't fully honors a treaty I think it will be a first. Those in power have put profit before the land, water and air.

"money can pass through your hands like water, but the land is forever and we as american people have to stand up and protect this land base for our future generations"
We do not inherit this earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children ~ Native American Proverb
it seems to me only wise native americans only get this.
