Avoid scams All spam emails/unsolicited phone calls/letters and faxes are scams. As a general rule - ANYTHING involving Western Union/money gram = Scam. If you sell stuff online.. Accept Cash or paypal only. If you buy stuff online.. Use Paypal only. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! NEVER(ever) give out your personal information to strangers online or offline! Always be on guard.

before they invest in any new business venture or
work-at-home opportunity: Does the ad promise big
money for little effort? Fraudulent ads use
similar bait: Fast cash. Minimal work. No risk.
And the advantage of being your own boss or
working from home.

I recieved a call saying that I had won a price, that they already had my information, they just needed to "verify it" so they asked for my routing number. Of course I did not give it. be careful out there!
Online Buyers: Never pay with Western Union or Money Gram - That's right -- never! These methods have proven to be unsafe when paying someone you don't know. Use only Paypal.
Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! Always be on guard.

Do not click on email links that request personal
information. Do not click on a link embedded within any potentially suspicious email, especially if the email requests personal info. Instead, try starting a new Internet session with your browser, typing the Web address of the link into the address bar, and pressing 'Enter' to be sure you are directed to a legitimate Web site.
