Its in Detour Mi,at the old coal dock,if u go to google earth find detour,follow the st maries river north about 5 mi you can see it docked

@JetMechMA The Spartan is the sister ship to the Badger in fact. This ship ,the Arther K Atkinson, was part of the Ann Arbor Railroad, the Badger and Spartan was part of the C&O Railroad.

@parker20125 Spartan is sister ship to Badger, isn't it? What about this ship, was it part of the Badger/ Spartan fleet? I remember riding on the Badger in the 60's. As we pulled into Ludington, we had to wait because the Spartan had a rail car tip over in her and she was listing pretty good to one side.

@mikeshemi72 I've been told some..............interesting things about this man. Was looking to possibly convert the Atkinson into a museum a couple years ago. I got talked out of it by a lot of people who were very active in the carferry community. The primary reason was Scotlund. Too bad...that ship has to sit there rusting forever :(

I rode to Wisconsin on this ship when I was much younger, having grown up in the Ann Arbor homeport of Frankfort,MI. There is also another another Ann Arbor boat Named VIKING that last I saw it on boat nerd.com was in Mennomie
