Excellent work. I have owned 1086's and now have an 886...Love the 86 series. It really is a shame that the company folded back then. Always going to have IH on my farm. You John Deere owners need to get over yourselves.

Awesome slide show, where did you find the pictures?

Great grandpa started farming with team of mules then moved up to a H before he retired in 80 he had dealer come demonstrate a 2+2 hard to imagine the change he saw in his life. My uncle bought a new 1066 w/ canopy and a 20' IH disc it was first dual wheeled tractor in our area. I've got a 1086 and a 5288 i farm with now. As me and my grandpa were talking about couple days ago we just can't bring ourselves to buy anything but a red tractor.

it's just mind blowing how much farming has changed even in the last 10 years. I'm 18 now and 10 years ago dad would be tickled pink to get 150 bushel corn. Now its hard to make a full round in the field. Keep in mind that we still farm with the good old 806s.

@1066POWER Yea ya pull em fast and dont dick around. most people go slow and end up frying them just like someone who dont know how to drive stick will burn up a clutch.. ya pull it at the right time and do it quick
Great video - good work 1066POWER. Brings back lots of warm memories. Deere makes excellent machines, but I am especially fond of the red IHs, even though the TAs were junk.
Too bad in the 80's both the unions and IH management together successfully trashed such a great company. Theres a lesson in it for our country. We are always one generation away from decline, each gen must do their part to preserve and build on what previous generations have done.

@bototgus Thanks for the comment, The TA's wern't realy junk, they were not made as strong as they should have been, but a lot of people abused them

Thanks for including the V8 tractors "68" models.
Amazingly few people have heard of them.
Once you see and hear those V8's running you remember them!
I am amazed at that photo of the Black Stripe tractor with the front mounted cultivator.
Firstly it is so big! I didn't realized front mounted cultivators were still built in that era,
I assumed that they disappeared with the narrow-fronted Farmalls in the 1960's
Great video, very well made.
