If we do not question the right of some relative few of us human beings to charge the rest of us for access to our own planet, we never get at the root cause of the motivation for all environmental abuse and the disparity of wealth, i.e poverty amid great productive technological progress. The benefits of progress have been co-opted by the owners of the earth who are destroying it and speculate with it for profit that we make possible by agreeing to what amounts to a sharecropper civilization.
