Used to lie on the bank there and watch the planes come in right over us! We stayed at a house right nearby.

landing flat in a 172, I try hard not to do it myself, but it is so easy to do well.

Beautiful landing. Check out my approach to block. There is usually a strong crosswind there all the time. Great place to learn crosswinds, but NOT during the summer.
