24-7 Spyz performing at the China Club Chicago IL 1993. This is the last show for this iteration of the Spyz (w/Jeff Broadnax vocals and Joel Maitoza drums). Songs include: Crime Story, Spill My Guts.
Damn, I saw these guys on this tour in Chicago, but can't remember if it was at the China Club or the House Blues. Cyclone Temple opened the show and they BOTH kicked ass! It was awsome!!!
beside living colour one of my faved bands (the first singer "forrest" was more crazy & technical a little better , but i guess he had an ego problem!) , but jimi hazel & rick skatore play together like twins !!
Anyone out there remember the late show at the metro in Chicago with Follow for Now?Coz & I were having a stage dive contest. We were so high. One of the best shows I ever saw.
I can repeat it million times: One of the best crossover-bands of all time! Jimis guitar-playing is amazing - he includes all good influences: From the afro-american roots with the grooviness like Wes Montgomery, fantastic phrasing like Jimi Hendrix and the funkiness of Eddie Hazel - mixed with the power of hardcore and different metal syles according to bands like Bad Brains, Beefeaters, Dead Kennedys and other!
oh yeah, I was playing Robin guitars during that period! Having Jeff and Joel come in after the original band split was a blessing! Great singer & drummer and even better people! HMS4L!

I loved those guitars, man.
Yeah, i thought "strength" was one of the defining albums of that era.
The chemistry is just volatile, and every song just speaks.
That one should have been huge!

Is Jimi playin' a Robin guitar?
Man, i loved the singer from this era.
He fit in great with them musically.
