Apart from the beautiful music, one of the reasons I really like this story is the fact that it has a girl saving the boy she loves- as opposed to the other way around. I first saw this when I was about 5 and will most definitely show it to my kids, if I ever have any.

i remember i was asleep on the couch at my mother inlaws having a break from the hospital as i was going up every day to see my beautiful 8 wks premature son, i woke up to the sound of enchanting music and this was on tv i later found and brought the sound track and played it to my son once i got him home it was the only way to settle him i never forget those moments and this beautiful story.

Memories came flooding back when I watched this video again. Many years ago when my children were small, we watched this enchanting animated story The Angel and the Soldier Boy. I am amazed by what I can find on Utube.
