This is the Trisha Yearwood version of You Can Sleep While I Drive, a song written and also recorded by Melissa Etheridge. What started out as a simple slide show turned into a road trip with James Dean. I've always felt that this is one of the lonliest songs I've ever heard and James Dean has always seemed very lonely as well. I suppose somewhere in the back of my mind, the connection was made.
I appreciate comments, but please be kind. This is my first video and I don't quite know what I'm doing. I made it with Windows Movie Maker which simplies the process quite a bit. Even so, I'm just stumbling my way through the whole deal. You would not believe how long it took to make this video. I hope you enjoy my efforts.

No doubt this song is from the pov of a desperate lover about to be "left alone". The "trip" is a plea My son was delighted when I pointed out the meaning of the last "baby, you can sleep while I drive". I told him leaving is only slightly better than being left... if you are still in love.
As to lonely... never got into the James Dean thing though I emailed one of his lovers. It is a lonely song. Loved the mustang... is that yours? You can sleep while I drive.
