  • The Commodore 64 was an 8-bit home computer system, not even a PC compatible, launched in the winter of 1982. Look for it on wikipedia or Google, there is a ton of info on this system and its variants. Its predecessor was the VIC-20 and its successor was the Commodore 128 (along with the Plus/4 and the 16 I guess) and after that, the Amiga.

  • It is also, I believe, still the biggest selling single computer line ever. Around 22 million or so.

  • Still have my old C64 and the game on a cartridge down in the basement. was one of the games i got the same day i got my C64.

C64 is in my opinion together with the Amiga still the best computer compared to the time it existed in. Microsoft took the magic out of the world of computers.

  • I remember the wraith. I think it was on level 3. It was hard.

  • I remember the Antmen, nasty.

  • Wow! This brings back memories!

  • Man, you were killing me by walking past that secret door in the 2nd room. Still, great memories. They really updated it with Temple of Apshai Trilogy.

  • Thanks for posting, brought back fond memories. I had forgotten how slow the movement (walking) was. The sound when a monster appears totally forgot about it until watching this.

  • I had this on my TRS-80 (16k of memory, no hard drive, just an audio cassette deck to load the program with). It was my first RPG game and it was great fun.

  • Ummagumma... you're a man after my own heart. =)

  • People complain about the graphics and music in today's games...

I so loved this game when it came out on the c64. :)

  • Loved the game when I was a kid. It was my World of Warcraft equivalent back in the day :)

  • Out of all the vintage computers, it seems there is more of the TI-99/4A then the commodore.. I have seen so much TI-99/4A compared to other systems long gone.. Nothing compares... TI rules!!!!!!

Imagine! three MFM Hard drives using HFDC.. and IDE Controller, USB card.. CF7+ - Yep, seems the TI had better graphics than the commodore. TMS9918A and 9928/38 were far more advanced compared to commodore. Plus, 16-BIT capability.. while commodore was 8-bit.
