I can get to my Sony's service menu when the tv is on by pressing Power-Display-5-volume+ -Power. Use keys 1 and 4 to to select adjustments keys 2 and 5 to change category and finally keys 3 and 6 to change settings. Mute then Enter will write settings but be careful, if you don't know what a setting does don't touch it as you can seriously mess up your tv. Also don't press keys 7 8 or 9 as they are part of a 3 key sequence that resets the TV to a factory unadjusted state aka BAD.
