Reception of NDR2 Hamburg on 87.6 mhz via meteor scatter during the Perseids meteor shower, August 12th, 07 at 2310 local time. Distance 716 miles/ 1152 km.

Signal was being reflected by the ionised trail left by a meteorite burning up in the atmosphere.

Station identification is in the form of a spoken and sung NDR2 jingle.

Receiver used was a Sony SB920 with a 4 element Yagi facing east fed through a 20db amp
