    and if with plenty of mxing and kneading it doesnt hold together then find a place where water seeps to the surface, take some clay from here (after permission from spirits). Clay forms by the weight of water over many years, so often, clay, the glue of earth mix, can be mixed into sandy soil in small amounts until it does stick. MOST SOIL has enough clay to make walls, however, dont forget the dry longrass for tensil stregth...this, prevents cracking in earth quakes

  • I was just wondering about the soil composition in Ecuador in general and in the highlands specifically... is it lacking in any one of the components needed for a good cob mixture? Clay, sand?

    Would I need to add anything before I start "mixing" or would I be safe to just start right in?
