It's a new week! I'm not letting Week Two get to me, guys, follow my lead. We can get there! There's plenty of time yet to go, so let's plough through and kick NaNo's butt, huh? Okay, I didn't write much today but I did hit the Recommended Daily Word Count so I'm going to be happy with that :D
If you'd like to add me as a Writing Buddy on the NaNo site, here's my page: http://www.nanowrimo.org///eng/user/421407
And here's another excerpt!:

Her lips were set in a thin line, grim reluctance, and instead of confirming or attempting to deny what Cole had said, she pulled in a breath and instead said to him, "You got off lightly as it is."
Hearing someone he thought of as a friend say those wounds was enough for that triumph to be swallowed up by a sense of disappointment, something not unlike the first flicker of loss, as though Elsabeth were withdrawing from him and there was nothing he could do to stop her. "I am sure there are many in the pack who would agree with you," he replied quietly, voice low and steady. Clearly Elsabeth had already forgotten about the previous night and the scout, when Cole had pulled her to the ground to keep her from being seen, shielded her body with his own to keep it from being spotted and targeted. "I have no doubt that the punishment would have been more severe if you were Alpha, hmm?" What exactly they were really discussing was beyond him; Cole could make neither heads nor tails of it, and frankly, he had had enough. He simply wanted to go back to getting ready to say goodbye to an old friend.
"You assume correctly," she told him without wavering, holding his gaze. There was a challenge in that gaze. Cole saw it as clearly as though she were saying the words to him.
"Then I should consider myself lucky that you are not Alpha." His voice had dropped down to little more than a whisper, voice deeper with the beginning of a growl, and with it, a firm suggestion. It was time for her to leave.

Tense! :O Okay, I might be in a little bit of a silly mood right now; strange considering what I just wrote, but yes. I will see all of you guys tomorrow, DAY TEN, and good luck to one and all for the novels :D See you then! HEARTS!
You might have covered this already, but how much did you outline for this novel? :)

I have covered that already, but haha, I DIDN'T. AT ALL :D I'm just kind of chugging along and seeing what happens.

Cool, me too! Although I am finding it a bit difficult. Are you struggling at all with introducing conflict?

Oh good, I'm glad it's not just me! :D I'm surprised by the introduction(s) of conflict and sometimes I struggle but this one isn't too bad. It feels natural, which is a relief, even if I didn't expect it.
