Italian - Can Your Film Change the World?

In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it's easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that -- to help people see themselves in others -- through the power of film.

On May 10, 2008 -- Pangea Day -- sites in Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro will be linked to produce a 4-hour program of powerful films, visionary speakers, and uplifting music. The program will be broadcast live to the world through the Internet, television, digital cinemas, and mobile phones.


Your film could be part of it. The online video revolution has helped spawn a new generation of grass-roots film-makers worldwide. Much of the output, of course, is mediocre. But hidden in there are amazing talents capable of using film to astonishing effect... and capable of telling stories that can create powerful bonds between us.

So ask yourself this. If you had the entire world's attention for just a few minutes, what story would you tell? Perhaps you think the world looks at you, your country and your culture... and just doesn't understand. Then do something about it. Tralasciando tutte le motivazioni metafische per le quali uno può credere o meno di essere al mondo, la penso anche io come te e credo quindi che il ragionamento di Baronsadmy sia giusto fino ad un certo punto: sì alla tranquillità interiore, no all'egoismo e al menefreghismo.

Sicuramente mi devo migliorare in tante cose, nessuno di noi è perfetto, ma in questo caso, forse, quello che dovrebbe cambiare sei tu, non noi.

P.S. Io il rispetto per me stessa ce l'ho eccome, ma ce l'ho anche per gli altri e forse sarà una "bella parola" per te: per me è un modo di rapportarmi col prossimo.

rispetto bella parola e tu hai rispetto almeno di te stesso/a, in tutti gli anni che sono al mondo non ho visto cambiamenti fino a quando..., Forse bisogna cambiare metodo? Comunque se volete fare girotondi filmati concerti e pensare che il mondo debba cambiare così fate pure, finché non capirete che dovete cambiare voi e poi cambierà tutto di conseguenza. Se faceste come Gandhi allora si ma gli siete lontani anni luce

Inoltre, cercare di migliorare le cose che non vanno al mondo, non interferisce con il bisogno di pace interiore.

Forse mi sbaglio, ma ho la sensazione che ti disturbi vedere la sofferenza e basta, che per te sia meglio nasconderla sotto un tappeto come si fa con la polvere perché se no ti disturba la vista e la pace interiore.

Ma un giorno quello che non va ci piomberà in casa e non sarà per una visita di cortesia...
