Also, the meat QUALITY standards in the UK are far lower than in the US. They allow much more fat and the use of organs in minced meats. That kind of stuff winds up in dog food in the US. However, the animals are treated better in the UK.

There are major differences between meat production in the UK and the US. In the UK, they allow livestock to be fed very low grade feed including discarded scraps from butchered animals. The US doesn't allow that, but instead uses processed powerded "meal" from the scraps, and a LOT of hormones which are not allowed in UK meat.

absolutely remarkable EVERYONE should watch this , i am an avid meat consumer and the only thing i wasn't knowledgable about was the cheap bi product patty Frickin amazing! Love this show look foreward to watching the lamb episode when i find it ! The uninted States should have a show like this!
